‘Spacelift’, ‘Essence’ and one mutha-of-a-remix on ‘Home’ all marked him out as one to watch last year… Now James ‘Jaytech’ Cayzer launches the Anjunadeep 2008 campaign with two low-slung, hi-fi, house/prog thrillers!
Starting the EP off, you’ve got ‘Headcase’… Already a mainstay of Above & Beyond’s recent sets, its throbbing bass, subtle synths and minimal percussion loops deliver a cool, night-time sagacity… You want it deep… then you’ve got it deep, people!
‘Pepe’s Garden’ - Armin van Buuren’s weapon-of-choice from the EP – provides stacked, sophisticated, melodies and cuts a deep, house-influenced groove, straight to the heart of the floor… Add some wobble to the bass, a bit of ‘whoop’ to the intro and you’ve got a B side that’s anything but ‘B’…
Certain to increase the Jaytech legend yet further, these two are just itching to go down the wires and out of the speaker stacks!
“Into both tracks, Jardim do Pepe especially!! this rocks!!” – 16 Bit Lolitas
“Will definitely play "head case” loooovely” – Laurent Garnier
