With the sort of quality displayed on cuts like 'Enjoy It Now', Tortured Soul would have been massive before club music banished musicality, songs and singing and locked itself in a darkened room. Or at least they would have been signed to Talkin' Loud and given a good chance. But that was then, and in the here and now Tortured Soul are a rare beacon flickering gamely on a small independent. Jon Cutler is the man entrusted with the task of teasing their latest opus to something suitably clubby and he doesn't disappoint, crafting a nicely balanced and satisfyingly rich production that lets the song shine.
