The Love Parade is an annual festival of electronic music that originated in Berlin, Germany in 1989, four months before the demolition of the Berlin Wall, and has since spread throughout the world.
The original message of the Love Parade was one of peace and international understanding through music, particularly trance, house and techno, but has now expanded to include all types of electronic music as well as electronic live acts.
Last years’ attendees numbered over 1.2 million, and this year is promising to be just as massive.
This year’s festival takes place July 19th in the city of Dortmund in the Ruhr District, Germany for the second year, having moved from its original Berlin location in 2007.
The lineup for this year includes Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Armin Van Buuren, Loco Dice, Booka Shade and many more.
Hit the jump for the official 2008 trailer (in German, mind you).
