Sydney Blu shows the electro house scene how it’s done with this very direct, calculated production, containing only the choicest samples, cheekiest ideas and experienced touches.

‘Give It Up For Me’ has graced the number one spot in the electro house charts.

Granted, it won’t become a classic, but this is a great tune-of-the-moment to drop in your sets.

On to the Deadmau5 remix.

Oh, Deadmau5 – the way you put a ‘5’ in your name to look like an ‘S’ is just so crazy!

But there’s no craziness in this record, apart from a droning background pad that sounds like a mutant hybrid of man and bee.

This one just keeps on going, tacked together by various detuned elements.

Many of the Mau5’s signature sounds are audible, but the general production is vaguely uncharacteristic in that it’s not so dry and in-your-face; instead, it’s more spread out.

Deadmau5 fans will adore his remix of ‘Give It Up For Me’ but new listeners might not quite get it.

Why don’t you have a listen and see for yourself?
